Is my Motherboard to hot?

Sisoft sandrs says the Temp of my motherboard is 108.1
Its an Epox 8kta2 with a 1.0 ghz Thunderbird processor.

Is this to hot,and would it cause lockups?

I don't think so, I have a P4P800 with a 2.8ghz intel. The board temperature is usually around 90F at idle

your both confused that high of temp would be your cpu not your motherboard but yes 108f is ok assuming its at running speeds if its that high at idle is might be causing over heating.. Right now I run about 113*f on my xp2000 pally at load and in the summer it jumps up even a tad higher. Your temps on the board should be in the low 80*

and yes to answer the other question if your cpu thinks its running to hot or your mobo is getting to hot it will cause lock-ups

Sorry, i have been decieved by the Asus Probe program. It usually tells me that my motherboard temperature is the same or greater than my cpu temperature. You would think that their software would be able to read their own motherboards.

That doesn't sound right at all. The CPU should be hotter, since it has the highest density of heat-generating components. Either something's wrong with ASUS Probe, such as having its thermistor monitors switched, or it could be operator error.
