New Monitor

I'm looking for a new monitor for my computer because the one i have is real old and i want to replace it. I want a 19 in monitor but i'm not sure what i should look for in buying a new monitor thanks.....I play a few games but mostly just use it for school work or on the net.....thanks

Staples has deals now and again on the Envision en-985...so they are fairly cheap after rebate etc. I am thinking you can get one in the $129-$139 range. BEst thing to do though is check the sales sites

office depot has a KDS® XF-9B 19" CRT Monitor for 197 with 100$ in rebates this week .
so it works out to to about 90-95$ for a 19" crt after the rebates .

i have also heard that if you buy it instore it kicks out 2 50$ rebates . now i don't know if this is true or not but if it is you might be able to combine them all if you get two 50$ rebates when you buy it instore and also use the online rebate forms also . i know the 70$ rebate form asks for a copy of the upc not the original . but even if you can't 95$ for a 19" crt is pretty good .

have built about 12 systems by purchasing off price watch & had nothing but good deals (maybe im lucky), so if you do find a company you think is selling a baragin - post it here & ill let you know if i've had dealings with them.

ebay is also a good place, my own monitor is a 21" sony trinitron that i got for $150 & has worked great for the past 2 years.

personally i'd rather go for crt, the lcd's are nice to look at but until they get to the quality & price of a crt im going to stick with the fat bastard monitors
