IF you have some REALLY important stuff..like financial records and such..then it is cool to have 2 seperate hard drives so that the important data can actually be backed up so it is on both drives...that way if one drive dies, at least you still have the data on one drive.
Sometimes drives dont give a warning...you just boot up one day and WHAMMO, it says "primary disk failure" or "operating system not found". So in that case it'd be nice to have really important stuff on 2 drives.
