Well, steam has been out for CS, DoD, etc for a good 4+ months, and most of the bugs have been worked out somewhat... i was wondering what everyone thought of it so far... personally i think it has turned around for the better (since early steam sucked!) post your comments plz!

I have had a generally good time with Steam as of lately, although i was having multiple problems with the steam server telling me things such as "USER TICKED ID INVALID" and "ERROR VALIDATING AUTHENTICATION SERVER" which is in reference to me having a bad KEY number... [despite the fact that i had a legit KEY] It took me awhile to get the kinks ironed out, but i went to the Steam IRC channel and got them to help me out--good service there.

Other than that, steam has been working great and has let me enjoy CS and TFC to a great extent.

It's alright, i quit DoD cos of steam about 5 months back, just started playing it again and i'm whooping as usual .

Well tried it two months ago.... I think is a little resource hungry even Halflife, CS take a considerable time to load, I installed on the slowest drive I had that could be a factor..

I used to play on Kustom Kettle's servers a lot when DoD was all WON. I was in [DA-UK] back then, looking to get back in.

i think its pretty neat with the friends list (when your able to connect )

i like the idea of downloading the patches as they come out instead of one huge one. Steam still has its problems but overall i think its great
