some tracks not playing on burnt CD

Dear Friends,
Let’s see if you can help me with this one. I just burned an audio CD using Nero 6.0 express. I got 22 tracks. I placed in my CD player in my vehicle. When I start at #1 and let it go in its own till the end (#22), no problem, but if select the tracks manually it only plays songs to #18 then nothing (19,20,21,22) manually, nothing. Now I’ve had problems like this when I’ve tried to play some burnt CD’s on my CD player in the house, but it’s an older unit (it plays reg. CD’s fine), and its problems start at the beginning and sometimes won’t even play the burnt CD at all. Could it be because I’ve got my virus software running in the background (should I disable it?). Should I try burning it at a slower speed? Is it the CD itself (Fuji)? Hell I don’t know and that’s why I’m asking you guys. Thanks for your help ahead of time (cause you always seem to come through).

I don't care what anybody says, burning at a slower speed is not going to make a difference. You might try different brand(s) of media. I've always used Imation and have never had a problem w/ any other device reading them.
