that border2.gif by pyrosama is close to what im looking for, rather three lines i just wnat one. im learning off a tutorial right now but its with regular frames. i don't want regular frames. I just want nice rounded edges with thin line to make it look clean and neet for our fish gallery.

okay now this is reallly getting close to what i want. almost. need to have it all down because i want it to be exact same for all pics in the gallery.

not exactly what i had in mind but its close. i had to first do the frame thingy then save it then open it again, and then crop out the garbage i didn't want as close as i could, i think there is easier way, but dunno how.

Is this a little closer to what you need?

If so I'll send you the psd file. Its done with stroke and contour.

Actualy it is pretty easy and after you do the first one you have everything that you need for all the rest. Including cropping each image to the same size.

BTW you'll be able to adjust the "frame" to get a lot of different effects as well

I hope you are using photoshop. I 'm sure the steps can be applied to Paintshop Pro but since I dont use it some body else will have to figure out the conversion for it.

First of course open your image.
Select your crop tool. at the top there are wiil be two bopxes marked "width" and "length" put the dimensions that you want the image to be when finished in them. Now when you crop the tool will keep that size ratio. Clik on the little arrow next to the crop icon. You'll get a drop down box with another arrow and what looks like a small sheet of paper under it. Click that and save your new crop tool.

I'll post the rest in a few minutes, got to go get the settings I used!

Next Step!

Go to your layers palette right click and duplicate layer.
Double click the new layer and you'll get the layer styles panel.
You'll be using bevel and emboss, contour. and stroke.

Here is a shot of the bevel and emboss settings I used.
