Internet Explorer help

when i am working in pc, internet explorer is triying to connect
to internet i disable it from start menu and still do it!
i have winxp pro,and i use aol as a provider, can i uninstall explorer from pc,
without a problems? anyone knows please help!

Just for clarification, were these the steps you have already taken?

Setting Internet Explorer to Never Dial a Connection
In Control Panel, double-click Internet Options, and then click the Connections tab.
Click to select either the Never dial a connection check box or the Dial whenever a network connection is not present check box.

If you connect to the Internet on a LAN or by using a cable modem, select the Never dial a connection check box.

yes,I check never dial a connection, cause i use a modem connection
