hello all i need to download a bios update from intel i have a intel 865perlk m/b it says to temporarily disable the active desktop before performing a bios update does anyone now how i go about doing that thanks merv

sorry i'm running xp pro what is active desktop and how do i know if i have it running or not i don't think it is i tried right click on desktop but i don't see anything about active desktop thanks merv

right click on your desktop

click propertise

click desktop

click customize desktop

click the web tab

unclick the webpage option
