Kids fireworks & dreamweaver- help!!

ok, i'm sure i'm being really dumb, but......

i am begining to use fireworks to make some websites, just playing around really at the moment/doing a few tutorials, and i've seen how you export websites and can open them in dreamweaver.

thing is, i don't understand why!!

is it possible to create an entire website in fireworks? it appears to me that it is. but what is the beneift of using dreamweaver alongside fireworks?

i have tried searching for an answer to this, but not found much info, so if anyone has the patience, please could you try to explain this to me??

i would reall really appreciate anyone who helps me.

thanks,

carly

thank you

i understand what is done and how to export it to open in dreamweaver, i just don't understand the benefit in it and what can be done in dreamweaver that can't be done in fireworks.

thanks for writing though (esp as you don't really have time).

fireworks is not an html editor, it is a graphics creator, therefore you are limmited as to what you can do....

Dreamweaver has all the capabilities you would need for editing and publishing a website.

ah ok, so it _is_ possible to create an entire website using fireworks, but you might not be able to do as many clever things??

so, you would normally use fireworks to plan and design the website, to get the layout you want etc., and then export it and open it in dreamweaver to add some clever html stuff and jazz it up a a bit?

is that the general idea?
