filter keys???????????????

If I hold down on the shift key for a number of seconds a thing pops up saying turn filter keys on, yes, cancel and settings are the options, i always hit cancel as it's an accident when i do it, but it messes up my keyboard and mouse so that i have to uninstall the keyboard and reboot to get it back to normal, is there a way i can turn this feature off?

in control panel..under "accessibility options....you should just be able to turn it off.

(I always liked "toggle keys" though..so that it beeps when you hit the caps button..so u dont type a long sentence and look up and see it was caps, lol)

Hey, I never looked at that toggle key option before--I think I'll start using it! I'm not exactly what you would call an ace typist, and I drive myself crazy with that caps lock key. Thanks, JP!

hmmmm, lol..mutant xp build of some sort

in that case just go to msoft knowledge base, or better yet.....start/help....look up "accessability"

He might need have to have an administrator account to be able to access the control panel.
