Asus P2B-F motherboard

I have an old Asus P2B-F motherboard with a P3 550 that I cannot get to recognize a hard drive. It will find a smaller hard drive, but will not even find a hard drive at all if I install my 40 gig.Is there a jumper setting I need to change?

I think this is 1013

while your there you may as well get the "flash utility" to flash it with.

Ever flashed one before?

no, I was saying that mine was shorting to the case so it was doing weird things and wouldnt boot.

But I did get it booted and it in fact DOES detect a 40g drive no problem....so I think you just need the bios flash and youll be straight.
