Basic Budget PC

Here is a Basic Budget PC Idea for all you guys with low fundage

All products were priced at www.NewEgg.com

($48 shipped) K7VM2 Motherboard(retail)
($80 shipped) AMD XP 2400+ CPU(retail)
($68 shipped) PC2100 512MB DDR-SDRAM(oem)
($51 shipped) Asus Radeon 9200SE Video Card(retail)
($63 shipped) WD 40GB Hard Drive 7200, 8mb, IDE(oem)
($47 shipped) Lite-On Beige CD-RW-DVD (48x24x48x16)(oem)
($37 shipped) Luna Beige Case with 350Watt PSU(retail)
($18 shipped) 3x Speeze Case Fans 80mm

Total Price: $412
Total with XP Home(+$91): $503

I use this as a starting point for most systems I build for my customers. I offer them many upgrades (or downgrades), which ever fits their budgets best. Im sure this may help you guys out. Ive been seeing alot of talk about new systems, and figured I'd give my $.02

I currently use 3 of these EXACT machines for FaD, and they run flawlessly. They are great starters, and can be easily upgraded. If you dont want to toss out cash for the Video Cards, then you can run the 32MB shared video off the boards vga port. Hope someone can use this information. Check out newegg for more options, as they have a wide variety of parts for upgrading/downgrading and modifying this setup.

Your Pal,
Truckie

only thing Id change right off would be the hard drive....cuz Id definitely do the officemax/staples rebate type deal and save some and get a 80g or so for less than that newegg price.

Just out of curiousity, how much do you sell these for? Pm me if you dont wanna give away your secrets, lol.

its tuff now cuz everyone sees Dell ads saying $399..they come to you and quote $399 and thats what they want you to build one for.
