Will this config work for Linux?

I'm planning on setting up a server, and may run Linux on this box as well, so it needs to work:

$20 Case <----compatibility assured!

Shuttle AV49VN Mobo

Celeron 1.8 or 2.0Ghz or something I don't know right now

Western Digital 80GB Special Edition

Probably one of the PCI GeForce2 MX 400's I have laying around for video

Corsair Value 512MB DDR400 (I'll get another later)

Will this stuff work with Linux, with the distro most likely being Mandrake or SuSE? I have RedHat running on a modern 3200+/nForce2/GeForce4 Ti 4200 box with no problems, but it's always nice to be sure.

I would suggest going with a the Shuttle AN35N Mobo and a Duron 1.6 or Athlon XP 1700. You will get better performance than with a Celeron.

PS. I am running Mandrake 9.2 on a Pentium II 300MHz with 192MB of RAM.

Linux will run fine on that hardware. My Linux server runs:

MSI KM2M
AMD XP-1800 (T/bred)
512 MB SD-Ram
2 x 80 GB Seagates
2 x Optical drives
GeForce 2 MX-400
3Com 10/100 NIC
Symbios FW DIFF SCSI
DLT-8000 Tape

Runs SuSE 9 & serves up file/print/mail, etc.

The reason I chose a Celeron is that my freind has a Celery 2.0Ghz I think, but is not using it and can't return it because the 30 day warranty is up. He is willing to sell it to me for a good price, and I don't need a performance PC, it just needs to be quiet, able to run Linux, and support a fair amount of drives.
