Use the Valve Hammer editor. there is no real "easy" map creator. You need good 3d and some CAD skills to do it.

yep. most map makers dont have a true "user friendly drag and drop" style. its more of a "i want something that looks like this here"

although i think they should make map makers kinda like sim city. raise ground, lower ground, toss a building, etc....

i expect one of you people on here to make me one for my upcoming 1000th post

Just use Worldcraft. It comes on the Halflife CD.
