I would look at the specs on your RAM. By adding too much voltage to the RAM, you could easily shorten the life considerably. Check the manufacturer's website for the specs on the RAM, and see if it can support up to 2.7v or so.
If your bottleneck is your RAM, the voltage *could* help, but I think that relaxing your memory timings might help even more. Increasing your memory timings (slower delay) could allow your RAM to perform better at higher FSB rates.
