NTLDR / I/O Disk Error

My Computer is a Compaq Presario 700 mhz, 300 and something mb. i was using windows 98 and desided to format and install 2k. but it say "I/O disk error" when i put the 2k boot up disk and it say the NTLDR file is missing when i put Me start up disk. I really need help cuzz i have no computer nowz im on my friend comp.

*sigh* I've helped numerous people with this problem. Go to this topic, and read my post (Its the third one down on that page). Follow the instructions at the bottom of that post. That should work.
