sims xp 'not valid win32 file'

hi people, wondering if anyone has run into this problem, can't seem to run sims on my xp install, YES i've tried changing compatibility any other ideas? getting 'not valid win32' on hot date and black screen then back to all windows on houseparty. thanks.

Hi Suniti,

Welcome to TechIMO!

I have read of 2 instances, the first is supposedly if you are running the NTFS(as opposed to fat/fat32 file system) on your hard drive.
The second is running the CD crack for "sims".

Are you running either of these on your system??
