I have CD “recovery disks” supplied by IBM (for my T41 Think Pad), but if I use the recovery disks all of my user installed software, data and settings will be removed. I will have to start from the “factory installed” configuration.
I just need to restore individual programs and files from the recovery disks. I have talked with IBM tech support who said they do not supply any information on individual file restore from the CD’s.
So, I need to know how to use the restore disks to “extract individual files. Do you know how to do this or can give me a link to a web site.?
