Kids Pioneer 106 DVR,

straight to the point, i replaced my liteon cd-rw with the Pioneer 106 DVR, and i had to change the jumpers on the back to match the one taken out, Windows recognised it so everything is OK there, but now when right click and send to the DVD burner is not there only my floppy drive, i installed it write with no problems just dont now why this has happend, my specs are, WinXP Home, 1.79Ghz, 256 Mb ram, any advice would be great, thx

I would take the DV-R out and check for the settings on the case. Jumpers are not standardized for every piece of equipment so you may have to make sure that what you set it to matches what is printed on the case. You may have set it to a slave when a master was needed or a master when a slave was needed.

Also what kind of software are you using to burn the DVD's? That may be part of the problem.

is the burning program you have the one that came with the burner if it is the one for the other burner it will only recognize that one

the burner i got was OEM so i already had what was needed to install this burner, no s/w was supplied with it but i am using nero 6, and that recognises the drive and i now the drive works coz av used it, and i put the pin settings to the same setting as the 1 that i removed, it is just that right click, send to, dvd-rw, that i need to get sorted, thx for all the replies, =)

edit- meant to say that prior to install i checked the pin settings to make sure of proper install, and the DVD-rom & and my CD-rw were on cable select but different ribbons, so i installed the dvd burner with the same settings as the cd-rw that i removed,
