Outlook 2002 duplicate incoming emails

Outlook 2002 duplicate incoming emails.

I switched from OE to OL2002 and imported my data, rules and accounts. Had to manually redo my rules.

I have 6 email accounts. A few are @other.domain.name.com but still handled through my ISP's POP3/SMTP servers.

Incoming email to @other.domain.name.com renders me with 6 duplicates in my Inbox.

Prolly something simple but I can't seem to figure out I'm getting copies delivered to each account. Didn't do that in OE.

I'm NOT saving a copy on the ISP servers.

Help! before I go <more> nutso

The dupes are new mail correct and not old ones comming in again cause your index file didn't get imported?

Hi Steve

Yes, it's all new mail as I've sent out test emails and the new are not already in OE, that is, nothing gets saved on the server.

umm.. index file?

If by 'index' you mean all of my mailboxes, then yes.. they've all been imported.

Steve, those appear to exactly address the problem I've been having. I'll post back with my results... Thanks again

Hallelujah!

And the winning entry is:

Password Prompt, Duplicate Messages Appear If Outlook Profile Has Two POP3 Accounts
http://support.microsoft.com/default...Product=ol2002

I'm pretty sure it's working correctly as several self-tests --from / to -- all deliver only one incoming email now. Not tested from an outside source, but I have confidence

Thanks again, Steve!
