speaker question?

asus a7n8x deluxe 2.0, I have two sound icon jacks one blue and one green, what's the diff between the two, also have a purplr that says speaker rear, what's it for?

Blue: Line in. To connect to outside audio sources.

Green:. Line out. To connect to the left/right front speakers.

Purple: To connect to the rear left/right speakers in a surround sound setup such as with a 5.1 speaker system like the Logitech 680's.

cool, thank ya much

one more question, is there something in bios or windows that has to be messed with to turn headphone jack on cd/rw on?

Not usually. It should just work. There is usually a small volume dial right next to it. Make sure it is turned up.
