Help identify 5 1/4 f\wire enclosure

I have this firewire enclosure, will work in win xp pro with 40 gig maxtor but not the west dig 120 gig i first tried on it.
So it works, but i'd like to find the brand and get a firmware update for it and drivers for 98se.
I'd like to use this in a win98se box i still use for older printer and scanner, even some games and other stuff, win98se is not dead yet! (I had that same install of 98SE running 8 hrs a day for 4 yrs without a re-install) Course now i only use it once in a while.

I googled the numbers(even parts of the numbers) i found on it, no luck at all.

Outside casing: Outside casing is opaque plastic, almost clear, and its got 4 blue-grey rubber feet on it.

Front:
Front is opaque grey, kind of like a light black even, with a clear on/off button on it on the right hand side.

Inside casing is metal, top slides off with some effort.

Back:
Left to right is: power, then fan, then two firewire connectors, then 2 audio connectors(chrome with white and red inserts)
It also says "FAN" right in the middle of the fan (I know, duuhh)

Numbers:
on the back: 0147 OWCMFW5R (the 5 could even be a S maybe)
stickers on back: made in China CE
Inside: TT 535FX10147HC1K0017

On the green board that services the ide connector: 000B533 290601 01281 3537-2053

That board has only very small capacitors and even smaller chips on it.
There is another board, thats the one with the big caps on it, its got a piece of metal covering it and i would have to take it all
apart to read some numbers, except i got this:

MODEL: APD-9507-P5 I think this may only be a winding, possibly, but its got its own plastic covering, the shrink type sort of.

i found a sticker tucked way down inside and under and peeled it off. This gave me REXON TECHNOLOGY CORP
google gave me this: http://www.part2.com/spec/storage/ca805pfwh.html
This gave me part # CA-805PFW1
The part number led in turn to only one place, here:
https://www.atlaz.com/Merchant2/merc...Code=CA-805PFW

Code: CA-805PFW
they are in new york INWOOD NY toll-free 1-888-437-3329

And it appears that it is the oxford 911 chipset, which i have heard is the best. If i recall when i installed it in win xp it said it was an oxford 911

Does win98se automatically these firewire enclosures or do i have to find drivers for win98se?

And i still likely need to find out where to find firmware updates for oxford 911 chipsets.

Can anyone help me with this?

Can i post a pic here and if so how would i go about doing this?

Thanks for any help i can get with this.

Post a pic. Descriptions can be vague, since that describes several types that I've seen.

you are right, but im doopid, i dont know how to post a pic.
I do have a digital camera, and i do know how to press a button and i can even import the pic to the puter. But getting the pic into this thread, i dont know how to do that.
Dont you have to have your own website going or have some website where you can park it, something like that?

I do have more info that i am going to post.

But you are so right, so many of them look the same, still, the description of the back part should do it. How many of these will say fan right in the middle of the cut-outs for the fan? Thats pretty doopid.

Anyway, posting more info.
