Refreshing a web page

I've noticed that sometimes when I right-click and refresh a web page I'm on (like here) it appears to refresh but I know it hasn't because nothing has changed:

i.e. My last post does not show at the top of the recent thread posts.

Sometimes it takes three or four clicks before it does actually refresh.

However, if I hit F5 refresh works evertime.

What gives?

Bill

Adjust your Temp Internet Files Settings to "Every visit to the page"

I take that back (not the thanks BTW).

Still doing the same thing.

Posted in the Community.

Right-clicked and refreshed 5 times - nothing.

Post didn't show.

F5 post showed.

Strange.

I know what you are talking about...I had the same problem. I don't know the answer to why, but the way that I worked around it was to map one of my extra mouse buttons (logitec mx500) to the F5 key. Now I just hit that button and don't worry about it anymore.

Did this just recently start doing this? Any changes to your system or ISP?

Some ISP's cache pages differently than others.

No, I've noticed it for months but never connected that it wasn't really refreshing.
