Need help setting up SIMPLE Network..

My main comp has win98 and my other comp has win200.
From comp with win2000 I have no problem accessing shared folder on win98 comp but when I try to access shared folder on win2000 comp I get password screen.

yes, thats the way its supposed to work.
you need to set uo a user account with permissions on the w2000 system to allow the other system to acess the files.
also is the w2000 system on a ntfs file system ?

Yes win2000 comp is set up with ntf, I havn't read through Sixpac_XP link all the way yet. Will that prevent me from accessing the shared files on the win2000 comp.
It's not really a big deal as I can move files back a forth from the win2000 comp. I guess it's more of a learning thing for me right now.
