un installing a hidden screen saver

Hi, I down loaded a screensaver. When I click install it did not show where the saver was being installed to, and I cannot uninstall it. When I am in the display properties in the screensaver list the saver I installed is not listed. I turned off my screensavers (by selecting 'none') and the screen saver turns on. This is quite annoying.
My operating system is XP professional.
I do not know if you require any more info than that, if so, let me know.

If you want to you can try a system restore and reset your system to a previous date before you downloaded the file. That is a little extreme though.

Have you checked Add/Remove Programs to see if by chance it may listed there?

Trying to install it again may reveal where it is as Windows tries to overwrite the files.

yeah i never thought about trying to install again, thanks i'll give that a shot. as for it being in the add/ remove programs list, it's not, that why i needed to go for outside help this time. lol. thanks i;ll try to re install and see what happens
