Battlefield 1942 Game Question
Hello,
I bought Battlefield 1942 on E-bay, supposed to sealed, brand new, which it was. Unfortunately, it was just in a jewel case with no instructions whatsoever included, I didn't know that. I have Call of Duty and can figure what most of the functions are. However I can't figure out what the "spawning point" is and how to use that.
There is no documentation on the disc like there was with Call of Duty and I can't seem to locate a strategy guide for it either. Does someone here know where I can find where I some game-play instructions for this game? Their forum is difficult to use too. I went there and you enter the subject line for a new thread and I can't figure out how to enter the text area, weird.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Hans Groenewold

There's an online guide HERE that you could try??
I've had a quick look around, but game manuals seem to be pretty rare....

"Spawn Point": After you die, the map will pop up with a few white dots on it. These dots represent spawn locations. Click one, it will be highlighted, and after the timer runs out (it is default at 20 seconds) you will respawn at the selected point. In the game, the spawn points have flags over them, you want to control as many as possible, that way you spawn closer to the enemy base. Hope that helps

I have the jewel case version myself, but you dont really need a manual.
Go into settings, and look at what key does what, and you will learn about 90% of the game. Under conquest, the goal is to gain and hold flags, you have to stay in the area for a certain period of time before it switches.
CTF, is just like any other capture the flag, just get flag and bring it back to your base.
Single player is a waste.
that is about everything.
oh, when using binaculars you can click the fire button and this allows someone who is in an artillery to view what you are looking at, and is very good for coordinating artillery fire.

And Shaw needs to get back to playing Battlefield so I can be his scout, because there's nothing I like doing more than sneaking up on the enemy positions and calling the fires of hell down upon them

no one wants to play Forgotten Hope, and regular battlefield sucks.
