My Case - Suggestions Needed
Well this is my case as of now, first plans are to get rid of the red fan and replace it with a blue/UV fan. Next, I'm going to hide the UV cathode's better. The part I need help on is my wires (second pic). I don't know how to hide them, and I don't know what to use to hide the normal wires. I've tried the SVC Flexo sleeving, but I don't have a molex tool, and that just turned to disaster. I assume im going to need a molex tool to try to do anything to cover the wires, so I'm planning on buying one (anybody reccomend a place?).
Wiring Problem....

Nice looking case.
I have the SVC flexo tubing on my computer as well. I don't have a molex tool, but used a large sewing needle to bend down the barb part of the connector. Took it off, being sure to mark which wires went in which socket, sleeved the wires, and put it back on, using the needle to bend the barb thingies back up before slipping them in. Worked perfectly with the exceptions of the P4 connector, 12v aux connector, and main ATX connector. On the main, I just used 1/2" and pushed it together and slipped it through, then cut off the end part that unraveled and used heat-shrink tubing on the ends.
I like the various colors (orange, green, red, yellow, clear), but it's not that UV reactive that I've noticed. I do have a blue CC in there too through - might just be overpowering the UV effect.
Best of luck to ya. If you want pics or more details on how I did it, feel free to ask.

BTW, the P4, 12v aux, and main ATX connectors are different than the standard molex connector. And the main is different than on an AT PSU too. (Can you tell what POS machine I played with before tearing apart my new one? ) I'm sure I could have gotten them off eventually, but didn't want to risk screwing something up, got the main covered as described above, and tucked the other two behind the mobo support panel as I'm on AMD.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to try to mess around with hiding some wires, then take another pic. Also, does anybody know where I might go about getting UV paint?

I did the molex connectors with one of those small scredrivers that come in the case. It was actually pretty simple. Then I put the wires in heat-shrink tubing and heated the tubing. Here's a linky... http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=gordon |

You could always buy split loom for your wiring and not worry about pulling apart connectors. You just slid the wires in the slit that runs down the length of the flexible tube after cutting to the length you want. I used 2 of them for the main power connector, and you can get this stuff in any color you want ( just visit a car audio store, or most car parts stores ).

Ultimately, I think someone needs to sell an ATX wiring kit with instructions, a crimper, and a dozen or so molex connectors. An ATX mod kit, or something along those lines. I'd prefer to build my system, and then make my wiring as long or as short as I'd like, along with being able to cable it, or hide it as wanted.
How cool would it be to have a PS that had wiring designed like a cars wiring harness? It would make it a lot easier to build, and if you built systems for people, in the odd chance that they upgraded something themselves, the wiring would only reach the spot it was supposed to go to ( that way it's really plug and play )

I have small screw drivers....ones like these?
Here's what my comp looks like now, I rearanged the lights and moved some wires. They are still sticking out, but not as bad. |

Yep, those, I just used the small flat one and you press in the little tab on the side of the wire (inside the plastic connector) and pull the wire out. When you put it back in , you may just use the really small flat one to bend the tab back out, but it usually doesn't need it.

Split loom can cost anywhere from $5 to $20 depending on how much you buy, the thickness and if there is anything special to it ( chrome is more expensive for example ). I bought 1/2 inch split loom in purple, got 15 feet of it for 15 bucks and had some left over when I was done ( not much though, only a few feet ).
