ATI 8500 ALL IN WONDER PROBLEM

i have had a new pc for exactly 5 days..i have captured video and burned dvd's fine.....no problem i have the ati raedeon all in wonder video w/128 meg....i have a 2.8 gig cpu.... all of a sudden i was going to capture video and the program is telling me that the ati video capture has been uninstalled.....it doesnt capture it freezes my enitre pc up.....i havent changed anything...except i put java on my pc......what do i do? a system restore? will that help? i dont know what happenend? I have looked in hardware de3vices and everything is working properly and is installed? i am clueless

yeah, with xp you can just try to restore it back to the restore point just before it happened....the cool thing about restore is its like a "free try" cuz you can undo the restore etc

I dont know friend....the best thing to do, is wait and bump this thread again tomorrow at a time when more people are on....I would try the restore thing though for sure.

Does the device manager list
ATI video and audio crossbar
ATI tv tuner
ATI video capture
ATI video crossbar

Also if updated u are supposed to have the new windows media encoder 9. As it uses some of those features for ati capture card. Use newest drivers from ati's site too.
