Internet games??
My friends and I all have cable/dsl and really want to play a game online. Sadly, the only game we could find that requires strategy was counter-strike.
It's just so old, and so over-played.
Does anyone have any suggestions for multiplayers games that we can play?

my favorite new ones are UT2k3 and Warcraft3. So good classics I play every so often are Diablo II, Starcraft, and Unreal Tournament. Unreal II XMP is kinda fun too.

When you play on public servers, for the most part, there really is no strategy going on. IMO, strategy comes from joining clans. But you should check out Call of Duty (2 people who stick together and get eachothers back can destroy 10 public run and gunners) and Battlefield 1942.
You could always do soemthing like realtime strategy like Command and Conquer Generals.

I agree with shawshank.
Battlefield is an excelent game. You can do lots of stuff. For example you can fly planes, drive tanks, cars, ships, and aircraft carriers

Yep, I agree with sg. Battlefield is the best WW2 shooter out there, IMO. Its multiplay is 20472 times better than single play and has a bunch of mods. Very good game.

I like the everquest and ragnarok...can't wait for the final fantasy online...also, you might wanna try a Star Wars game, like a Galaxy Divided...

Strange question...there's a bazillion games you can play online, especially shooters...they don't have to be i-net only games like CS...

You may want to give Soldier of Fortune2 a go...there are many gametypes that involve strategy and plus you can pick up a copy rather cheap. Call of Duty is a good game but imo sof2 is still a better first person shooter. If you want strategy maybe you guys should try rts like Command and Conquer Generals.
