Death to my Lap top

Well, my lap top has had it. I was wondering if anyone know which parts of the lap top are salvageable to make a portable PC. (other than Ram & CDrom). Is there a way to re-use the LCD

Portable yes, PC...That was questionable. It was the first computer I didn't build, and it has given me more problems.

I don't know how it will work, but I am going to try to use the LCD with a small desktop. You will have to excuse some of my terminology, I am self taught from the days of DOS 3.0. I am sure I am going to have alot of questions to get back up to speed. My last project was converting a 486 DX 100 to a pentium MMX 333, and overclocking it, and frying the power supply, eventually I put nuts and bolts through it to finalize Frankenstien.

Thanks for the link to shuttle. Only one question... Do they sell just the case with a power supply or do I have to go through their distributors? And does anyone have a good link for small LCD flat screen monitors?
