Buying a projector...need help choosing

I'm looking for a projector that can display slides, excel and word files very well.

I'm on a tight budget say about $1550 max shipped.

Brightness is an issue to some extent. It also must be portable. I'm not looking for a feature rich projector.

It doesn't even have to be XGA. SVGA will be perfect.

Anyone had any experiences they can recommend to me?

Sony and sharp have a few good model in that price range. For that kinda $ it will be bright dont worry. BUT make sure you know the life and $ of replacment bulbs for the model first and foremost.

InFocus is a quality brand as well...

Just go to pricegrabber.com and search there. I've been watching the prices continue to go down on these projectors, and there are quite a few that are well below your budget.
