? Re: Compaq Presario 5700N board

Compaq Presario 5700N with a Celeron 466
I inherited this old piece of Compaq crap and am trying to figure it out. I believe this board doesn't have a bios and uses the Compaq "rompaq" software on the HD. But the HD is gone. It has onboard video and when I start the pc using the onboard video I get no video signal at all, but if I use a pci video card I get a black screen with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of the screen. Does anyone know what this indicates, is the onboard video bad or is this normal for this board when it has no HD with the rompaq software?
I might sell this board, if anyone needs one contact me. Thanks
