ABIT BE6 Overclock

All,
I have an ABIT BE6 MoBo and a PIII 450mhz cpu and I want to overclock it. I have 2 fans in the back of the case and 2 smaller ones on the actual cpu itself. I ran the Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility and it is telling me that the cpu is going @ 464mhz with a system bus of 103mhz. Can I push this any further and if so how do I do that?

Thanks,
Shaun

Send a message via AIM to nukes Send a message via Yahoo to nukes
Go in the BIOS and up the front side bus.
I had a P3 Katmai 500 that would run at 666. (until the fan went and it died) Go for it.

alright I went in and pushed it to 500mhz (still with the 100mhz fsb) and it is ok. I guess I should monitor it for a few days to see if I can push it even further, correct?

Thank you for the help!!

I just checked the output using the Identifier and it is still comming up listed as 466mhx @ 103mhz fsb???!! I went back into the CPU Soft Menu to check and it was reading at 266mhz @ 66mhz??

I don't get it?

When ever I change the settings I get an error message at boot that says:
CPU is unworkable or has been changed. Please recheck CPU Soft Menu.

at the bottom of the screen it has this
F1 to continue or Delete to enter Setup

Everytime I continue it sets the CPU settings in BIOS back to 266mhz @ 66mhz fsb, what can I do to keep the change permanent???
