Finance DivX-SLOW! How to overclock?

I have a Gateway mobo pull and a Pentium 3 450mhz on it slot type.

1st question, is this fast enough to run DivX? I have run it with DivX and it goes very slow and the audio/video is off.

2nd question, is it possible to overclock my system? There is a configuration jumper on the motherboard that the website syas you can change the fsb/multiplier by using the jumper, but all it lets me do is clear my password.

Any ideas?

I recomend (depending on compresion method) P3 600mhz 128mb ram on win98 for divx. Minimal. Even a overclock wont make yer rig play divx well Im afraid. Ati's newest cards actually accell divx. But its only 9600-9800's I believe.

Umm.. I think I remember running divx3.11 stuff fine on my 333mhz duron computer.

I could remember wrong though, but try something like ffdshow etc. for video decoding, then lower the post processing settings to zero, perhaps it will play, perhaps not. You can always try
