Did you upgrade from ME to XP, or was it a fresh install?

First.. I would double check to make suer the USB is not turned off in the BIOS just to make sure because I've had that happen to a roomates computer with the same board b4.

Second make sure you are downloading the correct BIOS upgrade for your PCB revision. It should be printed on the board and does make a difference when it comes to flashing your BIOS. (i.e. v. 1.2 or v. 3.0)

You shouldn't have a v3.2 BIOS in a v1.x board. Fix that first.

The USB ports may be electrically zapped by an ESD discharge or a simple short.

You probably need to goto the ECS website and download the latest BIOS upgrade for PCB v.1.x like Peter had said before.. you shouldn't be trying to flash your board with v. 3.2.

Highest flash version for your board is BIOS Revision v. 1.2e

There's something very fishy with that board of yours. Where'd you got it from originally? Shop? Refurb bin? Trade show? eBay?
