Memory issue and OC question

I have Kingston HiperX memory 2X256Mb, 400Mhz. My problem is that it runs on 356 Mhz only, how can I fix that? Will my Cpu survive 178X13= 2314Mhz??

The mem is garunteed for 200mhz fsb. Not yer cpu. It might it might not. But its your cpu/chipset stopping you not the mem.

You should be able to underclock your memory. It can run up to 200x2=400fsb. It will also be able to run just about any speed slower. What's the chip you have, motherboard you;re using, etc?

Athlon XP 2800+ @ 2.23Ghz on MSI K7N2 Delt ILSR. I don't think my cpu can run on 200X12.5=2500Ghz. Maybe if I decrease the multiplier?

I'm not sure I understand... You have an Nforce2 board, hich means you can set the ram and cpu to run @ different frequencies. So can't you set the 2800 to run @ 166 and the ram to 200? If you recently got the 2800 chances are it's multiplier locked, so that won't work. If it does let you change it, yeah, go for it!

Maybe this will be of a little help? (Maybe not, though )

It didn't help much but thanx anyway. K When I enter Bios I get something like this (from your link)

My multiplier is unlocked (the cpu is 5 months old )

Now to the picture.

System performance Manual
CPU FSB Clock 178MHz
Cpu interface High performance
FSB/DRAM Ratio By SPD
Current DRAM **** 178MHz
Memory timings Manual
T RAS 6
T RCD 2
T RP 2
CAS Latency 2.0 (should I change this,maybe? )

I don't think that the rest matters.
My Sandra score is only:
INT Alu 2695
FLO Fpu 2583

Changing your latency to a higher number may help a bit.
Since it's unlocked, I'd drop the multiplier and up the fsb. What do you have to cool the processor?

One of those would be good, but an SLK 947 would be even better Make sure you get some decent thermal grease.
