hi all, I've got a RAID 0 on an a7n8x-e mobo using the si3112a RAID controller and the win xp pro OS. I tried using ghost to back up my raid set. It made the floppy disks ok and then said it had to reboot the machine. When it rebooted, windows wouldn't load. Somehow it got corrupted I guess. I ended up having to do a fresh install. I've heard that ghost can't backup if you have a raid, and I guess that's true. What prog can I use to back up my raid 0 set to dvd disks and restore to my raid 0 set from dvd disks? anybody know?
DOH! I thought that was the case. There are no DOS drivers for this raid controller either. I'm not real smart about this stuff but you'd think that if a RAID controller could control the writing of data to a hard drive during reg operation it could do the same in a system restore situation with appropriate divers, wouldn't you?
P.S. purpose of RAID 0=fast video file decoding and moving, and it's kewl

I don't want to start a fight but I have been ghosting my 2 raid-0 systems to separate HDDs for several years, these are both duel boot win98 fat32 and win2k ntfs, as a matter of fact I just did one machine within the last 1/2 hr without a hitch.
