In IE click Tools > Internet Options > and then from the Home Page --- use either "use default" or any one you would like.

Curiously.. what did you use to remove your "spy ware" from your system? Maybe it didnt' clean it good enough.. did you reboot your computer since then?

its not my home page, its the search page
example: type "google" as the url and press enter

the "spy ware" was gator, i used ad aware, and spybot, and they both say i am clean, i also ran a virus scan w/norton w/newest definitions

i have not rebooted, if that would help, i can after this download finishes

edit - partially fixed, i think there was something else, but i will see if its gone

thanks

Unless you manually shut down some running processes, you will need to set spybot to scan on reboot and then reboot your machine to rid yourself of these pests...that's pests as in plural, because gator (aka:GAIN) rarely, if ever, is installed alone...it brings "friends"

ok, adaware, spybot, and norton kept not finding anything
so i searched on google, and it was (of course) a spyware thing, but i guess none of those programs can remove it.. though on symantec's site it said it could >.<

i got a program off a british forum google found, and all seems to be good now (no additional spyware from the program, afaik )

thanks guys
