NEED HELP FAST: one beep per sec. coming from my Mom's HP Pavilion
Today, when my Mom turned on her HP Pavilion that her boyfriend bought for her in......i'm pretty sure that it was October 2003, it started beeping. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep........ (one beep per second, sorta like a microwave when food is ready). i restarted it and it didn't beep for a few seconds when the HP screen came on, but when the "WinXP Home" screen came on it started beeping again and everything looked normal while Windows loaded and my Mom was talking to me for five minutes and it kept on beeping before she turned it off.
Here are the specs of the computer (it is a store-bought new computer)
2.5GHz Intel® Celeron® processor
256MB DDR SDRAM
80GB HDD
DVD/CD-ROM drive
CD-R drive
Intel® Extreme® graphics card
Linksys Wireless card
? motherboard..........because i hadn't taken the cover off the case yet....and by the way it runs WinXP Home.
Your help is greatly appreciated and the reason i asked for help is that i never had this problem on any of the computers i've been working with and also i've never come across a thread about this kind of problems........
