Kids Where's my HD?

Why can't I get a C: prompt? Going to flash the BIOS on my motherboard so I created a "Boot Disk" ( right click on 3 1/2 Floppy under my computer, select format, select "Create an MS-DOS Start up disk", reboot:

Screen says Starting Windows Millenium then goes to an A: Prompt. I hit C: <ENTER> and I get "Invalid Drive Specification"..... What the heck? Where is my C: drive? I cannot access it from a floppy? The flash files are saved on my C: drive. It's no big deal to put them on the floppy and flash it that way but where the heck is my HD??????

Win XP PRO
60GB WD HD
P4 2.53GHz
MSI 865PE-Neo2 LS

Yep - I'd say you have an NTFS partition - either boot up and check, or within the boot disk, run Fdisk - it should show the drive, but non-dos partition...

Best thing is to put the files on CD - I would never trust a flash from a floppy!
