Motherboard is? BIOS revision is?

Possibly it needs an updated BIOS to support the 3200+

if you don't ahve the later revision of the board then you'll need to do a bios update for the 400mhz fsb. Double check that. However asus doesn't show support for the 3200 {doesn't mean it won't work tho} also need to make sure you have the straight A7n8X and not one of the other versions of the board as some don't support the 3200

Hmm... which BIOS version? According to Asus CPU Support page the A7N8X needs BIOS version 1004 or higher on a 1.04 PCB to support the 3200+
