How to re-enable my task manager in XP

I have XP pro and recently I noticed that when I use control-alt-delete it brings up "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator"
Funny...Im the only administrator...and I never knowingly disabled it...
Anyone know how to enable task manager again...
Im too lazy to research it just now, but its becomming an annoyance....lol
Thanx

Go to start > run > type: mmc /msc > click file > add/remove snap-in > Click the button: add... > Go to Group plicy object editor > select ok and when promted click finish > click ok > go to administrative templates > go down to system and go into ctrl + alt + delete options > select: remove task manager > go to properties and select not configured or disabled.

This was quick referenced from windows server 2003 so if your using windows xp then it will likely be differen't.
If you cannot get to that because of maybe it is locked from you entering from maybe an admin that removed it, then oh well, you shouldn't be removing it in that case.
If that isn't the case, then likely if you have a problem with my instructions then i'll have to look it up on on xp on how to do it, i'm not sure but it might vary slightly and use your best judgement to locate a similar thing to group policy editor if the one I mentioned doesn't work for you.

hey man do this it works fine

There is a registry hack to enable or disable Windows NT TaskManager. The same registry hack applies to Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies \System
Name: DisableTaskMgr
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1=Enablethis key, that is DISABLE TaskManager
Value: 0=Disablethis key, that is Don't Disable, Enable TaskManager

As part of the enhanced management available in Windows 2000 and Windows XP, rather than risking a registry change, as an administrator you can enable or disable Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro's TaskManager using Group Policy Editor. This can be applied to the local policy. Note: if you are trying to override your organizations group policy, you can't. As soon as you re-authenticate to the domain, the domain or OU Group Policy will rewrite the registry setting. But if the TaskManager was accidently disabled or you need to control this item for a set of standalone boxes this is for you:

Click Start
Click Run
Enter gpedit.msc in the Open box and click OK
In the Group Policy settings window
Select User Configuration
Select Administrative Templates
Select System
Select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
Select Remove Task Manager
Double-click the Remove Task Manager option
And as I mentioned above, since the policy is Remove Task Manager, by disabling the policy, you are enabling the Task Manager.
Got XP Home - use the registry edit.
