math guru's wanted
1) Key-in the first 3 digits of your home phone number (not the area code) into a calculator.
2) Multiply by 80
3) Add 1
4) Multiply by 250
5) Plus last four digit of phone number
6) Plus last four digit of phone number again
7) Minus 250
8) Divide by 2
Is it your phone number ????????????
what is the tech behind this and others like it???
you know, pick a number add something , divide something , minus something and get your number

Ok... this is probably really confusing... but its the best i can do for now....
I've written that up in a spreadsheet, so if anyone wants me to plug in some different figures to see how that effects it (in the original & my simplified versions) let me know.

Good job, JM.
In my mind, it was simple, but to put it into a simple spreadsheet for explanation was much tougher.
All of these math tricks posted all over the net can be explained by similar means...
