Software Question

I've got a Visioneer OneTouch 5800 scanner and with it I got PaperPort 7.0 Deluxe. I want to know how to be able to edit the text on a document if I scan it in. I have been at this for like an hour and still don't know how to do it. Hopefully this is in the right forum. I have Win2000Pro, and if anyone knows about PaperPort and can help me I'd appreciate it.

Is there a software that I can get that will enable me to do something like that? To be able to edit text in a scanned document.

unless you somehow scan it with "OCR" type software..which I am NOT a pro on...but that takes it and makes it into a word doc or something like that...but it tends to be glitchy.

Yeah, I have been trying to find out a way to scan it with OCR because 7.0 is saying it's able to do that... but like you said it's somewhat glitchy. I wonder if Deluxe 9.0 has it

I do remember a review saying that one of the Paperport versions was way better...I am thinking they were talking about the difference between 8 and 9...saying 9 was much better and it could have been specifically ocr they were referring to.....do a few google searches about ocr and youll probably get some insight.
