Call of Duty Porblem

i have a ati radeon 9700 pro, sys specs: soyo kt400 mobo, athlon xp 2500+ barton, 512 ddr pc2700,30 gig maxtor hdd, viewsonice pf775b monitor, hp 10x cd-burner 24x read, everytime i try to play with the resolution on 1024by 768 all options on extra with 8x enabled and trilinear filtering it has graphic problems by means of wierd trianlge shapes and stuff then my comp dosent respond and freeze need help. play online with same options enable works fine. someone help me

wait another week for the patch come out. There was some initial ATI problems with CoD, but the patch should fix it all up.

Have you downloaded the latest Catalyst Drivers from ATI's website? The latest version is 3.10. You might want to give that a shot if you are not on 3.10.

ok, well i went to ati and downloaded the latest patch and i went into the advanced un the video settings and changed to custom settings for open gl and open3d to 8x somthing and 8x antianalizing and i could use most of my current settings it messed up again so i turned everything on except etra character textures setting, and it works fine im sure if i tweek it a lil more itll be fine.

I believe there was a post by fellow member washe about a patch for CoD from ATI that fixed the VPU Recovery Error (worked for me when I had the same problem on the 9600 Pro)

i checked out the washe forum and went to the website downloaded the thing and it works. and im so happy, but it kinda makes me wonder if future games will have such a wide spread graphics problem such as this one, but none the less i love the game.
