Systems Power switch wire doesn't fit mobo

I've posted this on a few other sites to no avail. Maybe it's me.
I'm trying to replace a Soyo K7-VTA Pro with a ECS K7S5A Pro.
Both ATX mobo's.
The case came with the Soyo (Barebones kit).
The problem is the ECS mobo has a 2 pin connection for the front Panel Power Switch.
The Power Switch wire leading from the front panel has a connector that was receptor to 3 pins. There are only two wires connected to the outer receptors, the middle receptor empty.
Do I just go to the store (I'm in NYC, plenty of computer shops and shows) and buy another wire with the right connector or do I have toget another case?

You just need to move one of the wires over to the middle. Those little black connectors should have a little tab that can be bent up w/ a paperclip or something w/ a point. Just bend it up a little, pull out the wire and then put the wire in the middle slot.

You have to do it more w/ Power LED connectors than Power Switch connectors.

Thanks, Someone else did advise me of that, I just didn't think I could do it. I'll need a magnifying glass with my eye sight but what a little adversity?

I had to do an old system that way once, with about 15 wires (all taken out of the harness), using tweezers.

I held my breath when hitting the power switch, but it fired right up.

Look at the pin diagram in your manual. My MoBo, a Via, has the same apparent arangement as yours. The first and second pins callfor a positive led. the third is neg. I didn't have to move any wires. Just made sure to observe polarity. Mine used the two outside holes. works fine. Same thing on an MSI I had and my nephew's MoBo don't rember the brand.

First I want to thank everyone for their input.

Went home last night and discovered that it is the led not the power switch. No matter, it intimidated me last night but I will go at it tonight and tomorrow.

I've made a copy of the page with the pin diagram and I've take a picture of the connection with my digital camera so I'll post them also.

The pictures are too big for this site so I'll try to put them on a web page this week

I finally got around to actually moving the wire.
I've cleaned the old compound from the CPU and heatsink.
Do I HAVE to lap the heatsink before using the new thermal compound? Where do I get references on how to lap a heatsink?
Also, am I safe with storing the cpu in a sandwich bag until I'm ready to install it?
