reseat the card? Sell it and buy and ATI Radeon? maybe you need to cool it better? Maybe your system needs more memory? There are many things that would make that card floppy....I used it with NFS on a:

K7VM2, 512MB Simple tech PC2100ddr sdram, xp 2400, 80gb wd hdd, fx 5200.

I didnt have a single framing problem.....So....I would guestimate its your ram? Try adding another 256, or upping to a faster version of 256? My opinion is drop in another stick. But Im often pretty crazy too...So its your call

You were expecting too much out of a $50 DX9 card. Sure it outperforms other cards in the same range but it's still a budget card. My suggestion would be to get a 9600 Pro, 5700 Ultra, or 5900 non-Ultra. Those cards will have no problems running the latest games smoothly.

For that price you should have gotten a 128mb 8500. The FX5200-5600 are horrible Stick a big fat HS/F on it and overclock it

Varun, have you got the patch for NFS? That has solved a lot of peoples problems.

I got almost the same config as urs.

I got:

Athlon XP 2400+
512 MB RAM
GeForce 5200 Ultra (ASLYM 128 MB)

The game works extremely well on my system. Never had any framing problems, except with Battlefield.

So my guess would be probably to get more RAM, but I doubt it will solve the prob. As far as card mfr. go, I would never go with ASUS, especially not with a budget card such as a 5200 NU.

The 5200 is a budjet card that performs slighly better then the Radeon 7500. Its a low end card and not meant for gaming imo. I would replace it ASAP with at least a 9600 Pro.

my config:

xp1700 overclocked
512 ddr333
gfx5200 128mb 128 bit

no framing occurrence also. nfsu version is still 1.1. i would suggest adding more ram to your system. btw, is your gfx a 128 bit card. there are 64 bit versions also of this card.
