secure digital memory cards

i wasnt sure if this was the right forum but wasnt sure where else to put this. i got a digital camera and ordered a lexar 256MB secure digital memory card. i was sent a sandisk 256MB SD memory card by mistake. they both are the same thing i guess, just different brands. the company i ordered from said sandisk is 15% faster and to keep it instead of returning for the lexar and i can return it if im not happy. just wondering if there really is a difference or if i should just keep the Sandisk. they were both selling for the same price. i have a kodak cx6330 camera. thanks

it is like using exxon or chevron gas . they will both do the work but one says it will do it this way and the other says it will do it that way .

as far as one being faster than the other i can't say for sure . but if they are the same price and have the same warrante then keep it you will be fine . both are the top name brands . i don't think there is any realworld difference . does 15% faster really mean anything if it only works out to .4 of a second or less ?

Last I checked Lexar has a line of high performance SD cards that are guaranteed to work at 4.8MB/s as opposed to the 2.66MB/s that most other cards work at. I don't know if Sandisk does the same thing.

If the Lexar card you ordered was just an average card then there would be no difference from virtually any other SD card out there. If you ordered one of these high performance cards and got a regular card instead you might be gettin taken for a ride.
