time slow in windows

hey im running windows xp pro with NF7-s and my time keeps on getting slower (a few hours from actual time) every time i set it correct. i think its a bios problem but im not sure. this is happening while the computer is on so im pretty sure that the cmos battery is still ok. any ideas? this is really unknowing me.

You might want to check the battery anyway, I wouldn't rule it out as the culprit.

If you want to eliminate Windows as the problem:

(1) Enter the BIOS, and set the time correctly
(2) Boot to an MSDOS disk and let it sit for a while at a command prompt. (If you're in no rush, let it sit overnight while you sleep)
(3) Reset the computer and check the time in the BIOS. (Has it drifted again?)

thanx for the reply but it turned out that i had it set to the wrong time zone and it kept on resetting the time according to that time zone. got it fixed now.
