SBlaster Live 5.1 on Win2k - sound output problems!

Hay guys, Okay im am getting the most annoying problem...

every so often the sound output keeps like skipping or repeating or making a noise like water gurgling .. i'm really lost at words on how to explain what im experience but that's what it is.. like the if im playing music it'll like repeat one note really quick.. sumtimes i get it from the start up noise or the shutdown noise on windows.

I've reinstalled the drivers countless times, updated them from Creative site.. and nothing is fixing this..

I just got me sum Logitec z-5300 5.1 THX speakers and I can't stand listening to them when I get these incidents..

anyone have this problem or had it before?

here are my system specs

512 SDRAM 133
Asus A7V133A with latest BIOS
SBLIVE 5.1 Digital
Geforce 3 Ti200
AMD XP2000+

i Never had this problem when I was running 98SE.. ever since i've updated to 2k i've been getting this problem and the thing is my brothers computer has 2k also but he hasn't experience any problems

and he's using an integrataed SIS audio codec

WAAH (crying like a baby) I wanna experience my Z-5300's!!!

Have you got the latest chipset drivers for the mobo?

EDIT - You could try this as well.

Yeah, i've taken a look through their KB and I found one article that seemd to relate to what i was having...

their solutions seem kinda tricky though,

they told me to update bios which is what i did
update latest drivers - done
move the card away from video card and IDE connecters.. - done

man.. this is a big pain though.. i just dont get why it would be doing this ..

Don't know if this will help, but check all the settings for your various sound input/output devices.
I got a lot of what can only be described as "background static" coming from my Creative 5.1 sound card.
I checked the various inputs in the options, line-in,aux, miccrophone etc, I muted the microphone feed (I had no mike plugged in anyway) which cut all the back noise and cleaned the sound right up.
That's all I've got I'm afraid. I'm more of a lurker newbie than a techie.

i double checked all that stuff.. but yeah nothing works.. i even disabled ACPI in windows and set everything ot its own IRQ.. and i still get stuttering.. so i really have no idea what's wrong..
